"2.5/5 ⭐️ I was so excited for this book as I have really enjoyed the entire series, but this did end up disappointing me. I will start off by saying that it is probably my fault because it has been a while since I read the rest of the series, and I know there was a lot of buildup for this romance in the previous books. However, because of that, it felt like the two leads got together right away and knew they were in love with each other. The book wasn’t really about them working through any relationship issues, it was just two people blissfully happy in love and dealing with outside issues related to their magic. This is fine, it just wasn’t really what I was looking for, and I felt like I didn’t enjoy this stage of their romance because I didn’t see the journey to get there. The other main plot was the male lead coming to terms with his powers and dealing with a mystery related to them which was interesting but not enough to change my opinion on this book. Though I will say this book still has the amazing large cast of characters I have loved throughout the series and the super intriguing world they live in which just has the best vibes. I would reread this in the future as part of a whole with the other books in the series, but as a standalone entry, I thought it fell flat."

"“As I watched her now, I wondered, not for the first time, if she was in fact my hope and my guide. Because wherever she went, I helplessly followed.”<br/><br/>My obsession with this series is no secret. I’ve loved each and everyone of these books dearly and I adore how it all wrapped up in this book! Was it super cheesy? Yep. But that’s one of the things I loved about it! Henry & Clara have been dancing around each other for 5 other books and they FINALLY snap in this book and ohhhhhhhh boy do they snap!! <br/><br/>This book was just perfect. <br/>⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️<br/>"
