"This book got me out of a reading slump, and hawt daymn! The plot, characters, and flow are spot on! The spice was spicing, and i have to admit this is my first spicy read in a like 15 years or so, I am a fan of Robin Schone Erotica but this was hot. More spicy because of the concept of forbidden love (also, i just had a breakup with forbidden love of the same type same heat level , so this book was captivating to me). I highly recommend it!
I give 5 stars because I heard audio, and the narrator, HF!, the narrator gave life to priest charachter above and beyond. If I didn't hear it, i wouldn't have gotten all the emotions and frustration and deep moments! Total love! Enjoy!

"3.75 ⭐️ While this book is clearly meant for readers in the mood for some ****, it definitely has some interesting commentary on the topic of sex and religion. The plot was lacking (although most people don’t come to this genre looking for plot) and I also got hit with the ever irritating miscommunication trope. At some points the spice had me giggling and some parts just felt like too much. Enter at your own risk."
"Dnf because the way he thought about the fl made me very uncomfortable. Especially since it had started the minute she was introduced. If he had known her for longer and it was confirmed that she liked him earlier on, then It wouldnt have been as uncomfortable as it was. But that wasn't the case. There was also this whole big deal about her pale skin all the time which was also uncomfortable."
"This should be said. If you are wanting to read a story about a Priest having smex with a girl in a church don't expect there to be a plot. I mean your just asking for it. So no, there is not a lifelong connection between these too. It was hot and heavy from the very beginning. If you expected otherwise I mean I don't know what to tell you. You must be new to reading. For christ sake there is a shirtless man on the cover.
If you are here just for the ****. Welcome. The audiobook was well done and I highly suggest it. Though I should warn you I was extremely worried my earbuds would give out and blast my business for all to hear. Tyler is a priest who for the past three years has been celibate and in walks Candy oh I mean Poppy. Instant hot pants. Don't worry there is plenty of dirty talk to go around if your into that stuff and yep I was into it.
Now Tyler will make his excuses even though deep down he knows it's wrong but it was kind of funny to hear a man trying to explain himself. ((((Minor spoilers ahead)))) "If it's not all the way in it doesn't count." Hahaha I almost fell off my unicorn. And yes Eyelashes made him hard as well. Wtf.
So if you can look past all the unbelievability of it you might enjoy yourself. The **** and dirty talk was hot, Tyler, bless his heart, was an idiot. Honestly, the only part that annoyed me was how everyone was telling Tyler how wonderful Candy I mean Poppy was and they didn't even know her. I guess it's because she is a love interest and even though she is a stripper she is also smart just in case you couldn't put those two together. *sigh*"
"Spice level 10/10, but the writing became monotonous. Almost every time the FMC was spoken about it was brought up she was white. Her white skin, she was pale, her hair fell on her beautiful white shoulders. There were clear undertones to the writing that even spice couldnt help. The plot could have been great but overall was a struggle to finish 2/10"
"there’s definitely a little more hype than there should be around this book but i think it’s mostly devout christian women who just learned that sex outside of marriage is not moral failing. it took me a year to read mostly bc i kept forgetting it was on my phone, but i remember reading for hours every time i picked the book up.
i do like the fact that the book isn’t just sex (i mean there is a lot of it, and it’s so very steamy and hedonistic). like the way tyler’s relationship with god and religion is interwoven into the story so beautifully. "
