"I loved this. Is it the first Rebecca Yarros book I’d recommend to someone? No, absolutely not.

I loved this book but I feel like she has better contemporaries. For whatever reason, and the reason could totally be me, I wasn’t grabbed by it. I didn’t feel like there were any plot holes, but the plot points were confusing and I couldn’t tell you 100% of the time what was going on.

But, Cam’s relationship with his dad was beautiful and I loved seeing them develop that relationship again. I got the ick from Xander the whole time so I wasn’t mad about his ending. Cam and Willow were also so sweet. I totally understood Cam’s hesitance seeing his connection to Willow but I’m happy they worked it out like adults (more or less).

Not my favorite, but definitely not bad."
