"I just can’t get over the fact that this is WRONG! Charlie is a 16 year old teenager who was raped by her father as a child. This 31 year old man (pedophile) should know better! He does know better! This is sick. I just can’t. This is not steamy, this is not sexy…it is just WRONG! I can’t get on board with this book for this reason and I do not recommend it. Age isn’t just a number in this situation. I will say that I am proud that the author has Charlie going to therapy throughout the book and I could understand how this could happen because of Charlie’s past traumas. She still processing what happened to her, she’s still healing! It still doesn’t make it right. I do believe that if Charlie continues with therapy, as she grows and gets older she would understand how wrong a relationship like this would be for her. She wouldn’t marry him and have his baby. She would process everything, she would heal as best as she could, and she would go on to have a meaningful and productive life."
"This book is a slow burn with **** scenes😌 …… and you’ll enjoy it as long as you focus on the story and leave out the taboo part. Think about the characters as two people who connect and find each other at the wrong time. To me it seems like they both needed to go through all this to grow and mature. At first I wasn’t sure if to keep reading since the first few chapters were not that catchy to me, but the story gets better later on. Overall I would recommend this book 😩 "
