"I'm enjoying these books so much! The clues get clever as the siblings try to find the triplets in this one. Love the use of the crows throughout the village, villagers, and couplet poems. Very clever!"

"The more the series goes on, the more I’m enjoying each book. I appreciate that Snicket treats his audience as older as the story progresses, and trusts us more to unravel the mysteries ourselves. While it can be frustrating to figure out a riddle before the characters can, I think the pacing of the story helps to avoid this (as well as knowing I’m not the target audience). I also appreciate that the mysteries are becoming less straight forward and more complex. My favorite so far."
