NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER * WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER * USA TODAY! BESTSELLER In this beautifully written, vividly detailed memoir, a young woman chronicles her adventures traveling across the deserts of the American West in an orange van named Bertha and reflects on an unconventional approach to life. A woman defined by motion, Brianna Madia bought a beat-up bright orange van, filled it with her two dogs Bucket and Dagwood, and headed into the canyons of Utah with her husband. Nowhere for Very Long is her deeply felt, immaculately told story of exploration--of the world outside and the spirit within. However, pursuing a life of intention isn't always what it seems. In fact, at times it was downright boring, exhausting, and even desperate--when Bertha overheated and she was forced to pull over on a lonely stretch of South Dakota highway; when the weather was bitterly cold and her water jugs froze beneath her as she slept in the parking lot of her office; when she worried about money, her marriage, and the looming question mark of her future. But Brianna was committed to living a life true to herself, come what may, and that made all the difference. Nowhere for Very Long is the true story of a woman learning and unlearning, from backroads to breakdowns, from married to solo, and finally, from lost to found to lost again . . . this time, on purpose.

"Listened to the audiobook on and off. Now these are the kind of stories I more or less like to hear when I have conversations with people to get to know who they are or want to understand better.<br/>I know they don’t share every detail and I still have questions I’d want to ask them if we make a meaningful, deeper, human connection. <br/>But for the most part, it was interesting to me, it captured my attention and I was okay with the storytelling. It was sad to hear about Dagwood but I’m happy he made it out of the situation with an almost full recovery.<br/>I was reading reviews earlier to get a sense of how people receive this author and it looks to me some think she’s profiting off of becoming a social media influencer.<br/>I don’t follow her nor have heard of her until this book but there are always going to be positive/negative perspectives of a person from everyone who comes across them virtually or in real life.<br/>Keeping that in mind, I’m only going to go off of what I just learned from the author herself as she shared this memoir. I think this was a journey she personally felt she needed to go on to feel fulfillment in her life and like every other human being, she made choices that felt right for her in those moments. Some good, some bad/dumb that she hopes she will have learned from and do better. The basis of the human experience.<br/><br/>"
"I really liked this book until I got to the part of the dog accident. I appreciate the author confessing that she lies but it just seemed so wrong?!?!? It left a bad impression for me regarding the entire book. I know she is a very controversial person and I guess I fall somewhere in between….connect with her on some levels but she really needs to gain perspective in life. "
"Brianna is an inspiration. I bought a travel trailer after finishing this book. "

"I highly recommend the audiobook. The author reads it herself and it is so so good. <br/><br/>This book meant a lot to me. The author has a very poetic way of putting things. Some phrases will stick with me forever. I found it very relatable even though I’ve never lived out of a van in Utah. Couldn’t put it down."
"I blew through this book so quickly. Brianna has a way with words that touches about every sense. Inspiring and easy read!"
