"This story, written by James Gunn, Sr., with the original Star Trek crew is very much in line with the stories of that series. James Kirk is given a very unusual problem to solve: after beaming down to Planet Timshel with his principal officers, Spock, đź–– Uhura, and McCoy, he finds a people under a strange type of coercion; be as happy as each citizen, or be forced to cooperate. As usual, Kirk reunites with a former lover, and tries to learn more about Timshel's new laws. I admit, the flow of the story ebbed and flowed, but ultimately, this is a fun story with some excitement. "
