"What an interesting read! The characters felt very realistic (even if they did some unrealistic things), but in order to get to that point, the author spent the first 50% of the book talking about their backstories or day to day life. The story finally started picking up in the end, but the ending was very unsatisfying (as it was meant to be I assume). It definitely left me thinking, and the message was interesting, but I didn’t agree with everything the author was trying to convey. There was also a very big side plot (that wove into the larger one) that had to do with abortion and teenage pregnancy that I do not think the author handled very well. Overall a very thought provoking read though."
