"4.5 stars

this book had nothing but bangers

banger list includes:
- fantasy author fmc
- black fmc
- black fmc with scars on her face
- fake dating
- reverse age gap (its 12 years i think but hes well into his twenties so its not weird)
- reformed playboy mmc
- dog mom and not in a cringe dog in a purse millennial way
- demisexual mmc
- amazing found family of outcasts (from the previous books)
- so much yearning
- fmc sticking it to her crappy ex husband

and also lots of discussions of consent and how men are often treated as though they always want sex, its never going to be a no, and how the mmc essentially harmed himself by having a lot of relations before he realized he was on the asexual spectrum because he felt like he SHOULD want sex or that it was what was expected of him.

i highly recommend this series!!"
"3.5/5 ⭐️ This book had a bit of a rocky start and a few bumps along the way, but ultimately there were some aspects of this one I truly enjoyed. I wasn’t sold on the characters at the beginning of the story, but they grew on me, especially the female lead. This was an age gap/friends to lovers/fake dating story, and it struck an interesting balance of fun yet emotional. Although they didn’t do it perfectly, I loved the way the leads supported each other in really special ways. Though they were very different people, it felt t like they could be genuine with each other. This is definitely not my favorite Talia Hibbert couple, but I still really liked a lot of it."
