Witchcraft for Wayward Girls image

Topic: Witchcraft for Wayward Girls

Anyone who’s read this - what did you end up thinking? In the 60’s, my aunt was 17 and in love for the first time! They accidentally got pregnant, decided to ask their parents advice, and were told to never speak to or see each other ever again. My aunt was then forced to continue her pregnancy, alone out of state in a Home, forced to give said baby up for adoption, then told to return to life as normal and never speak of it again. I try to read everything on the subject and this is the first…

Katie book of fiction on the topic I’ve read but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Finished the whole thing in under a day. Does anyone else know anyone who experienced a forced birth & forced adoption? Anyone have any suggestions on other books on the topic aside from Ann Fessler’s “The Girls Who Went Away”?

Sarah Ortinau You might like “The Yellow Wallpaper” it’s not about forced birth, but does explore post partum depression and how women were treated at a time when healthcare for women was nonexistent
