Topic: MINDHUNTER

I’m not sure how many big MINDHUNTER fans are on this app. I mean, it’s only one of the greatest TV shows to ever grace the Netflix platform, yet it ended unceremoniously. πŸ’” What do we think about David Fincher potentially returning to the series with a trilogy of movies, provided he approves the scripts?

Bill MortimerΒ I enjoyed watching it, but then I found out profiling doesn’t work. They don’t have profiling departments anymore in the FBI.

AnnaΒ They do , it’s just called different: Behavioral Analysis Unit. And profiling is one of the things they do.

RyanΒ I haven’t ever gotten into the show because I can’t get into to stories about real life serial killers (they’re just so pathetic). I can say as a long time Fincher fan that only about 25% of the projects he’s rumored to do actually come to fruition. He’s rather particular about getting his way.

Thom WillsonΒ First season: Phenomenal. Second season: Fine. The concept works for *A* movie or -- honestly -- a fairly limited series, due to how initially-intriguing but easily-fading the idea is; hence what we got.

π‘Ήπ’Šπ’„π’ 𝑺𝒐𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐 βœͺΒ I have to strongly disagree with you. Both seasons of Mindhunter are excellent, but Season 2 stands out as the stronger of the two, a view shared by many critics and fans alike outlets like NME and Indiewire have lauded its refined narrative, backed by a 100% initial Rotten Tomatoes rating. We were building toward the exciting reveal of the BTK Killer, and with David Fincher’s vision for a five-season arc (per Variety 2020), Season 3 could have been just as compelling if executed well. While the trilogy films will suffice given my admiration for Fincher, I’d much rather see the story continue through additional seasons.
