,[object Object], Full disclosure: I've never seen the original with Arnold. Nevertheless, I am still skeptical. Remaking 80s sci-fi action movies is a dubious prospect. However, I will say, this looks pretty good and I do like Josh Brolin.

Brandon Reed Of what movie is this a remake?

Road Master The Running Man. 1987. Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's possible they're adapting this directly from the book. I've heard there are differences. But I've never seen the original movie or read the book.

Ryan The Arnold movie is fine but it’s nothing special. This is the kind of movie I prefer they remake, if they’re going insist on doing them. It was a fun but flawed take on an interesting premise. Supposedly the remake is based more on the book but with the book being so old, I’m guessing it was used more as a jumping off point. I think the new one looks fun and I like Edgar Wright’s style and work.

Road Master I've seen a few of his movies. That is a point in this movies favor.

David Rachau Between this and Project Hail Mary, they might actually get me back into a theater. 🤣 Haven't been to one since before Covid. I enjoyed the Arnold movie, but was still kinda disappointed that it didn't really feel like the book, which was less of an American Gladiators type reality show, than a Hunger Games meets The Amazing Race style show, but with Gladiator style opponents hunting the protagonist.

Road Master It does look good. I'm wondering if they're just remaking the original movie or if they're adapting the book.
