Random discussion for fantasy books/comics/films/tvshows/animation which is more annoying for the characters appearance on the bookcover or actual material itself having the whole outfit be inaccurate to the time period aka the protagonist looks like a modern day person who got back from prom or having the whole outfit be more or less totally accurate for the time period the fantasy setting takes inspiration from except for the hair which is more annoying 75% accurate or 100% inaccurate

Jenny Brown P.s I am not counting anime hair colors as inaccurate if it is normal for people with rainbow color hair to exist or if it's a important plot element then I am letting it slide

lyzander cross Actual period accurate attire is quite a bit more limiting than I think most people realize, black, purple and blue would be somewhere between rare and non-existent during medieval times, personally I'd take heavy inaccuracies over 100% accuracy
