"The ‘80s vibe shines with great sets, soundtrack, and dance-offs, but Fear Street: Prom Queen falls flat. The kills are lame—predictable stabs with no creativity or tension, lacking the gore or shock of classic slashers. The characters are boring: the guys are generic jocks with zero depth, and even Lori feels like a cliché final girl without a spark. Progressive choices feel forced, clashing with the era. As a ‘90s kid who loved R.L. Stine, I’m let down—it’s far from the previous trilogy’s magic. Hope Netflix keeps adapting his work, though! 2/5"

"So much fun. Fangoria, mixtapes, high school, and murder. A bloody perfect horror comedy that fits in well with the rest of the Fear Street movies. I love the subtle nods to past horror films like Prom Night and Phantasm II. It was also great to see Chris Klein back in highschool mode. "
"excellent, i absolutely love the 80s aesthetics from the stonewashed jeans to the gaudy blush, lol. The music soundtrack is the perfect choice also. The kills r typical , unoriginal & had me cracking up. I want to see more of India Fowler, her look is great for 2025. The dance offs were lesbo exotic & super corny, lol. Overall desent saturday afternoon horror flick 5/5"
