"Decent Pixar film about a kid who doesn’t feel like he fits in and decides he just wants to be abducted(by aliens!) where he’ll feel more at home. Don’t deliver enough laughs, or tears to really put it in the Disney pantheon, but both my nine year and I lied it well enough for the storyline and animation."

"Cute movie, as a person who works with kids on the spectrum it really warmed my heart and I really felt for him. Also really loved the portrayal of the aunt at how much of a toll taking care of a kid can take but it doesn’t mean she loves him any less and i’m glad he was able to realize it. Reminded me of some of the parents i work with."

"I remember seeing a teaser trailer for this movie back in 2023, and I remember I was so excited to see it. This movie was gorgeous. The animation and the colors were jaw dropping and purely stunning. I adored the characters, especially Elio. I love films about outer space, and it is usually hard to find good ones like this. I also love how the movie had references to man-made objects such as the Golden Record and the Voyager shuttle. I did think the story was slightly unorganized and could have had more potential; it was cut a bit short of a masterpiece. It was unbelievably beautiful, though! An underrated gem. 9/10"
