The Golden Voice

"(2025) Starring Nick Nolte, a homeless veteran who develops a unique friendship with an aspiring musician after he stops him from trying to end his life. It is a quiet and slow paced movie focusing on their friendship. It was deeply moving. Did it make me ugly cry several times. Yes! If a movie can pull that much emotion from me, it deserves 5/5! I don’t remember how long it’s been since I had to grab my Kleenex box while watching anything. I’ve been a fan of Nolte’s since I was a kid. He deserves a lifetime achievement award. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s around 2021 and he has said in interviews that he plans on continuing his career until he can’t go anymore. He also is known for method acting and fully immersing himself into his character roles. I wondered why I hadn’t seen him in mainstream movies anymore and read that he’s moved to doing mostly independent projects, like this one. Highly recommend! “Die with memories, not dreams.”"
