"There should’ve been a trigger warning with this movie because the woman sitting next to me in theaters was not prepared for the way this plot went. I ended up consoling her and letting her hold my hand. Nothing about this was a rom com, but I enjoyed seeing Chris Evans, per usual. "

"Im disappointed because this was not the fun romcom it was marketed as and has some rather problematic moments. I always thought Dakota Johnson could be a great actress if given a better script; I was wrong. Her character is not likeable, nor do I think she had chemistry with her costars. Pedro's unrealistically wonderful "the perfect man"character is the most charming in the movie, although he isn't in the movie as much as I'd expected. Even Chris Evans ' character has potential but it doesn't feel realized. I think there's just too much ridiculousness going on here and not enough romance, chemistry, comedy, or even drama. Essentially the movies whole point is that love is this X factor that cant be understood, except it could've made that point in a far better way. However, it tried to make that point with an out of pocket (and disturbing) sexual assault plotline, a lot of annoying character decisions, and a half-baked get-back-with-my-ex plotline. I left feeling un-entertained, sad for Pedro, and horribly underwhelmed by the romance. Overall, its brushed along the side of a good theme at the end, but it never fleshed it out because they spent so long messing with other plot devices."

"This one was a “meh” for me, the trailer kind of threw off the vibes I thought it was going to be. It has some heart to it but I didn’t like the premise that she goes back to an ex because it’s not truly like that for people in real life where going back to an ex is a great thing. Dakota Johnson is not my favorite and I’m not a fan of her acting. She was fine but not…noteworthy. As always I’m a fan of Pedro Pascal, enjoy his acting and performance. Chris Evans did good as well."

"This was an incredibly melancholic but instnese film of a love triangle between incredibly introspective people that need some time to figure out who they are and where they want their life to head in. This isn’t a movie for everyone. But it’s definitely going to hit your soul if you’ve found yourself in a love triangle. Also, I LOVE Dakota Johnson in anything. 8/10"

"(Trigger warning: the movie does cover the subject of sexual assault) This movie DELIVERED. It was exactly what I expected it to be and it did it all perfectly! The acting? Phenomenal. The cast? Outstanding. The dialogue? On point. The plot? Somehow stereotypical and yet completely unique. The wardrobe? Sublime. The videography? So nostalgic and romantic, yet grounded and real. I seriously enjoyed this movie and I’m so glad I got to see it with my roomies. ❤️ the movie honestly felt like being on a date, but like a really good date."
