Death of a Unicorn

"Fans of Cocaine Bear should enjoy this horror/comedy. Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega star alongside Will Poulter, and Téa Leoni among others. The comedy aspects were on point and Poulter has most of the better lines. I was surprised to see Paul Rudd's character was initially so unlikeable, but he does redeem himself by the end. There were some interesting kills and gore mixed in throughout. The Unicorn designs were impressive and the CGI was decent. There won't be any acting awards handed out on this one and the story doesn't take itself too seriously, so if you turn your brain off, and you don't expect too much, it should be an enjoyable and fun watch. I will say that the ending felt kind of like an afterthought, as if they didn't know how to end it and had no clear plan going into it. Overall, it was a fun watch for most of it with a disappointing ending. 7/10"
