"Yet another movie for thus already jam packed series, but you know what? I'm here for it.
First off the story takes place seemingly right after Season 5 ends of My Hero. It doesn't quite match the pace and everything compared to the show with that section of story but you put that aside to watch this. It's not that it doesn't make sense either. Like you could see something like this happening at that time and the kids doing what they do, but where it is in the main storyline actually would happen in like a day.
Now the story. It makes sense for the world. We haven't really seen a villain attempt to take the role of all might. We've seen them try to tear him down and deft his logic. This one seems to take it in a twisted nature. However, it's not without fault. I still have a hard time grasping the villains' logic and hid actions seem out of nowhere at times. I kind of understand it, yet it's hard to describe how random he seems at times.
But let's move on. The new side characters for good are actually fun to see. They brought depth to this almost shallow idea. It made for a more intriguing story. Except, pacing wise, how we learn their background feels a bit like an info dump mixed with jamming it in our face. I'm glad to see it, but it did feel kind of out of place in a movie setting.
Every other character of my hero fulfills their role here well and i enjoy their moments. It feels like them and they play the part they need to for this story.
Finally, there is just something about My Hero Academia that creates an impeccable climax. Yes, they always use the soundtrack You Say Run but that song is absolute gold when it comes to creating suspense while also making a great climatic finale. Whoever composed it is a genius and it works in every situation. I felt goosebumps in those final moments as Deku is highlighted. My Hero knows how to create beautiful action you can't help but watch with all your might. Pun intended."
