"Good documentary about fast fashion and the impact on pollution as well as slave labor practices. Rather than focusing on Brandy Mellville (which I honestly had never heard of), I wish they had done a series exposing multiple fast fashion brands and digging a little deeper into the issues. But overall, it was a good and informative watch. "
"I had never even heard of this store until I read about that kidnapping in New York City recently, where the two men kidnapped an Italian businessman and tried to extort cryptocurrency from him. Somehow this store entered the narrative. I dug a little deeper and discovered this documentary. The whole story is bizarre but somewhat intriguing because of its mystery and controversy. It has such a reputation. I looked up reviews of our local Brandy Melville store and found they were totally in-keeping with its sketchy reputation for being shady and rude. Interesting documentary. Scary to know where our discarded clothes wind up too! HBO Max (2024)."

"A good look at the fashion industry and how impactful fast fashion truly is on pollution Im and our wastefulness. It was an interesting watch and did a good job looking into biases of this particular company. I’d never heard of the brand but I think applying a similar style of documentary to other company’s in the industry could bring lots of awareness that not everyone may have. "
"I don’t know what was more disturbing, the abuse and racism at this company or the amount of clothes that we are dumping into the environment and that we think it’s ok to do it in a 3rd world country. That’s one reason that I thrift a lot of clothes and buy from companies that are earth and human conscious. "
