Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale

"I loved seeing everyone again in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. It wrapped up everyone's stories so well and I will miss them. It made me happy to see Thomas living his best life, Noël Coward singing Poor Little Rich Girl at the party, and Edith really having come into her own. It's always delightful to see what Mr. Molesley's up to and I know he would have the best Letterboxd account if he lived in a different era. Finally, I got very choked up during that montage - and I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Every single seat (really!!) was filled at tonight's screening and it was good to experience it with a crowd and see and here the reactions to it. Finally, I also thought I'd add that I ordered a small popcorn and a pop at the theater and there was a special for $9. I thought the discount was for AMC Stubs A-List holders. Turns out they gave me "No Adults Snack N Sip Combo" which is "intended for guests ages 13-19". I'm 36! I know I look young, but what the heck!"

"Honestly? Did it have all the hallmarks of a typical five star movie? No, but was it everything that a Downton Abbey finale should be? Undoubtedly. They knew their audience. (I am that audience.)"

"I went into this without ever seeing the show or the other movies with a big fan of the series. It was a cute movie with a lot of great lines and awesome costume and set design! I’ll definitely be checking out the show after seeing this. "
