"I knew about Honey Boo Boo at the time of the popularity, but it was never a show(s) I wanted to watch intentionally; therefore, I saw only bits and pieces of these shows in the past. Saying that, I learned a few things about the family I didn't know beforehand. I was more impressed by Alana and even more so LESS impressed with her mother after viewing this. Seemed more authentic as one gets to see the actual Alana (all grown up) with her speaking of her thought processes at the time as well as now. It was interesting to me and I'm not sorry I watched it at all, even though parts were unfortunate, but not all of it."
"(2025) This was terrible! The casting for everyone besides Pumpkin and Alannah was horrible. There was nothing in this movie that we already didn’t know from her reality shows. It felt like another cash grab… so I hope Alannah pockets it all. No child should have to work and carry stress like that everyday starting at the age of 5, and then learn that your mother spent it all. This wasn’t a very thorough story either. The story was choppy and sloppy. Most of the acting is horrible. You might enjoy this if you haven’t followed the shows over the years, otherwise I would pass on this one. 1/10"
"2025. Watching it now. Casting could have been better, perhaps-though the girl that played Pumpkin sounded just like her… I haven’t been a watcher the whole entire time, (my mom got me watching it with her!) But I have watched it mostly all the way throughout, and still follow. I guess I always wondered what it would be like to get rich suddenly, and that’s what happened here, among other things. In spite of it all, Alana has really grown up to be a brave young lady… it’s interesting to see things from just her perspective."
