The Lone Wolf Spy Hunt

"This is a fun little heist comedy. It tries to copy the energy and vibe of The Thin Man and is somewhat successful. Warren William is doing his best Dick Powell impression but he doesn’t really have the juice to pull it off. He plays a reformed safecracker who gets framed for a string of burglaries. He spends the movie trying to dodge the real crooks, the cops and his long suffering girlfriend. Ida Lupino plays the love interest and brings some fun sass to the role but playing the woman obsessed with getting William to commit to her is limiting. Rita Hayworth also appears as a moll for the real thief. At only 70 minutes, it’s a quick watch. 3.3 out 5 Stars"
