"I am rating this flight drama four stars because of how this film made aeronautics seem interesting. Let me qualify that statement: I am not saying that flight mechanics and aeronautics is a boring topic. I simply mean that I don't fully understand it, and couldn't hope to. But the way in which pilots speak about their take offs, landings, troubles in flight, and weather conditions was actually understandable to me. I was surprised how invested I was in the story. It stars Michael Craig, Peter Cushing, George Sanders, and Bernard Lee. A pilot towards the end of his career begins to have problems with a new newly designed passenger aeroplane called The Phoenix. In between seeing the daily routines of pilots and their families, are hearings to explain what may have gone wrong with certain pilots and near-misses. I really enjoyed watching the mystery solved, even though this film may seem simplistic to people that actually do fly planes for a living. "
