The hero Fong Sai Yuk becomes involved in the secret brotherhood "The Red Flower", who are trying to overthrow the Manchurian emperor and re-establishing the Ming dynasty. The social upheaval is combined with Sai Yuk's personal moral conflict about how to conform to the rigid regime of the brotherhood and on top of that sort out his difficult love life, saddled with two presumptive wives.

"The sequel to The Legend of Fong Sai-Yuk continues the fight of The Red Flower Society to rid China of the influence of the Manchu, and restore the Ming Dynasty. Jet Li plays the role of Fong Sai-Yuk, and his mother and fianceé are still part of the cause. Fong is tasked with romancing a governor's daughter to reclaim a precious red box, which contains top secret information about the emperor's succession. As always, the martial arts choreography is well done, and there are comedic parts which balance out the story. Cantonese audio. "
