"I wanted to like this movie more than I actually did. Brendan Fraser is a great actor, but he couldn't carry this movie alone. It's a great story, and it has some really interesting ideas, but it's just not all that memorable. It was a fun enough watch though. "

I feel bad for the girl as she never got to be around other kids. I also feel bad for the mum. Also, why does she call her dad by his first name."

While they under utilize every actor except for Brendan Fraser (And in a cast that has Andy Serkis?? How is that possible??), we have a fair trade off with Helen Mirren riding into battle on a Unicorn. I recommend. "

"I always forget about this movie because it is never talked about. I don’t know why we don’t talk about it though. This was a popular book (a series too, I think) and the movie is genuinely good. I think maybe collective consciousness just grouped it in with Eragon and the like, but we shouldn’t. This movie is good. We really should talk about how good this movie is"
