"Very stereotypical 90’s action movie, but it was very entertaining! The violence was over-the-top in a cheesy way but again, it was the 90’s. Same with the outlandish plot. Really enjoyed the cast especially Kurt Russell and Halle Berry (and B.D. Wong!! Love him on SVU). Not a world-shattering watch but it kept my attention. It wasn’t a pain to watch, which gives it a thumbs up in my book!"
"This is a solid, but forgettable 90s hostage movie. It’s probably most famous for being Steven Seagal’s last gasp of being a box office star (they basically wrote him out of the movie so they wouldn’t have to deal with him). Kurt Russell and Halle Berry star. I didn’t have Mr. Poirot (David Suchet) playing a Chechen terrorist leader on my casting bingo card but he does fine in the role. Not a lot of action here, it’s much more of suspense/thriller movie. It’s an easy background watch, if you’re multitasking, but nothing you need to go out of your way to see. 3 out of 5 Stars"
