"“A man who lies cannot love…
Well, that sounds like something out of a fortune cookie.”
(1969) This is a fun, lighthearted movie that's perfect for a lazy afternoon. Walter Matthau's grumpiness is on full display as Dr. Julian Winston, and Goldie Hawn's quirky charm is infectious as his young girlfriend Toni. The dynamic between them is great, and Ingrid Bergman adds a touch of class as the office assistant who gets caught up in Dr. Winston's fake marriage scheme. It's not a movie that'll blow you away or anything, but it's a pleasant watch with a talented cast. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but the chemistry between the leads makes up for it. 6/10"
