"Likewise Is super annoying for me. Can’t go far down when typing. Because I literally can’t scroll farther.
Really solid. Not a horror movie necessarily. But did have lots of horror elements especially in the second half.
The twist at the end wrapped things up very well. I do think you can call it if you really think about it though. I’m not that advanced in my movie watching though.
Loved the monster design even if it’s very simple does the job well. Plus the reasoning on it makes it way better.
Main draw is the story though and characters.
Really liked the cody dream concept thought it was very cool and also simple enough you can do a lot with it.
Very casual watch but might be a top five movie contender for me this year.
The one thing I didn’t like was that the death of characters wasn’t really acknowledged.
Plus a little before Jessie says I took advantage of you I won’t do it again. She sort of does the exact opposite of that a little after. By hinting at something to Cody."
"!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a really good horror for people (like me) that need mind bleach or a happy resolution after the scare. Though I've always hated the ending, the one that's slightly abusive gets to stay. And again there's this whole "oh we're so in love" but literally you have the power to bring someone back and choose not to. "Oh daddy's fine stuck in a wall, better there than telling me how I'm not supposed to use your powers to get what I want. Now there's this bitch in the pta thats always wanted to live underground and never be found again."
Also, anyone considered what it's going to be like when he hits puberty?"
"Just to start things off this movie is a downer. That said, it is also one the best horror movies I've seen in years. It simultaneously does a great job at keeping tension high in moments where you need it to be, and low when it needs to be more serious. It also does a great job at reserving the jump scares for when you aren't ready for them. There are multiple times during this movie that I had to put my hand over my heart to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack. The characters are also very realistic and likeable. I think we can all agree that both of the parents in this movie are parents we wish we would have had growing up. It may sound like I'm gushing much more than I need to about this movie, but it's genuinely really good. Definitely worth a watch."
