Well he himself is a bit much but the kills aren’t too crazy by any means. I love old movies mainly just for the sound design. And look of course. The family twist felt very natural. I could definitely see similarities between resident evil 7. Just with the family dynamic I mean. I actually liked franklin. Everyone else either didn’t care for or just seemed like dicks. Going back to a classic was a good choice. Might watch another movie today won’t be horror if not today soon."

"1/10 Choices were made in the making of this movie and not a single one was good. The whole reason you turned the movie on doesnt even start until over 50 minutes into the movie. The characters are boring and unlikable. 4 of the 5 main characters are killed off in a matter of seconds. The last 20 minutes of the movie feels unscripted and many of the scenes go on for far too long. "

"I feel like when the one girl is screaming at the bones after barging into the house it's weird she mostly screams at animal bones. Everyone is annoying and whiny and screams too much. I can see why this is scary in the 70s and 80s but we don't get much beyond laughing "weird" people in Texas and that's supposed to be creepy and the screaming is supposed to be scary but this is more screaming than spooking."

"Unenjoyable from every aspect. No idea how this ever spawned a franchise. Characters suck, editing suck, the movie is less than 90 minutes and even that feels long for what is given"
