"Since this sci-fi adventure is a Charles Schneer production, I knew that I would see Ray Harryhausen's creatures. The plot is an adaptation of H.G. Wells' book First Men in the Moon. 🌝 The movie stars Edward Judd, Martha Hyer, and Lionel Jeffries. The plot is extremely simple and entertaining. Two men become fast friends in the 1880's, and plan a lunar mission. Decades later, another team of astronauts find what the two men left behind. The whole plot is about what occurs on the first mission to the Moon. The best part of this movie are the Ray Harryhausen stop motion monsters. "
