Young history buff Kevin can scarcely believe it when six dwarfs emerge from his closet one night. Former employees of the Supreme Being, they've purloined a map charting all of the holes in the fabric of time and are using it to steal treasures from different historical eras. Taking Kevin with them, they variously drop in on Napoleon, Robin Hood and King Agamemnon before the Supreme Being catches up with them.

"Terry Gilliam's brilliantly imaginative movie from 1981 holds a special spot in my heart. This whimsical and innovative film is now a classic among Gilliam fans and fans of Monty Python alike. This is the first movie that I can recall that cast little people but didn't use them in an exploitative way. An ambitious undertaking, asserting his bold visual style and Gilliam is hugely successful in creating epic scenes at moments throughout time. Love this movie. 9/10"
