"An excellent French take on a Dirty Harry-like story with screen icon Jean-Paul Belmondo in the lead. Belmondo’s character is more impish than the steely Dirty Harry but he carries the same swagger and casual disregard for police procedures and civil liberties.
In the movie the police are trying to catch a serial killer in Paris, who places a series of harassing calls to the victims before killing them. The film is well shot and it has some unique visual ideas that keep it interesting. Belmondo does his patented DIY stunt work and some of it is really impressive for a 1970s film.
