"Very good but not at all what I expected. I thought this would be a thriller culminating at the Golden Gate Bridge, not a man haunted by ghosts of the past after being dragged into a mess not of his own making just because he had vertigo. I didn’t expect the twists and the cinematography and score were the right amount of dramatic and eerie. I also loved James Stewart, but it was really Kim Novak who stole the show for me."
"In the immortal words of The Barenaked Ladies, "Gotta see the show, 'cause you know that Vertigo is gonna grow 'Cause it's so dangerous you'll have to sign a waver."
Watching this the day after watching Body Doubke was buck wild. You really start to see THAT project in New and interesting ways.
The way this movie used cinematic language to achieve the Vertigo effect is iconic for a reason. It's damn good and quite effective. If I were to explain Vertigo to someone I'd think back to the cinematic language of this film. It helps that the plot is completely nutzo too. Very interesting watch."
