Super spy Lance Sterling and scientist Walter Beckett are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is… not. But what Walter lacks in social skills he makes up for in smarts and invention, creating the awesome gadgets Lance uses on his epic missions. But when events take an unexpected turn, Walter and Lance suddenly have to rely on each other in a whole new way.

"I truly love this movie. It has some faults, but man, is it a fun time and a trip to watch. The concept is there, the lesson is clear, and it all wraps up nicely. However, you do have to stick with it through the long parts that seem to drag on.
Now, it does, of course, take reference from every popular spy movie. Especially the Bond ones. Which leads to a very cringey and long spy opening this movie does. I'm not saying they should get rid of it because it truly fits the concept and the story. However, even when I showed it to a kid who loves this movie too they asked even on first viewing to skip that part. She liked it so much she wanted to watch again the next time I saw her. So yeah. That part while funny when given attention is just too much, even for first time viewers. It's too long and since it's aimed to kids it's jarring for them when they watch it. So I do suggest when you get to that part just skip it. You'll know it right away when you start seeing "creative credits"
If you can get past that thought the movie is great. The humor is there and funny. Sometimes it's bottom barrel but what kid movie doesn't have that these days. Then the characters are distinct and interesting. You'll enjoy them especially after watching it twice.
Now the villain. He's perfect. If it wasn't for Pitch Black he'd probably be my favorite. He's intimidating, and truly contradicts the humorous Lance Sterling. Honestly I got chills seeing him most times. Then when you learn his reasons it makes the entire story & concept truly tie together. The lesson especially hits home just when you need it too. All combining for an absolutely fantastical climatic ending. It worked perfectly and I loved every second of it. Not to mention the soundtrack fits far too well.
Overall, another great movie done by Blue Sky. They deliver on things that take some time to appreciate. Just look at Robots. I see this becoming how Emperors New Groove is now. Definitely a must see with a cooky plot. "
