"I recently learned about this doc being available, and I vividly remember when this horrific atrocity occurred. It was all that was talked about at the time. This is a bit graphic/disturbing, rated TV-MA, so may not be suitable for some. Such a LONG delay, 77 minutes... Unimaginable. Reasons given for the delay and conflicting opinions. This also reminded me of how much behind the times we were in 1984. Remember pagers? I found myself really irritated with Jerry Sanders smiling, seeming so flip about it, while being interviewed about the incident (not in clip shown here though)."
"5/10
Definitely an amateur documentary which is probably how they got away with not blurring the crime scene footage. It mostly seems like a chance for the director to accuse the police officers involved and show the footage. While there were definitely mistakes made I'm not sure how many of the issues brought up were true as much of the journalism relies on word of mouth. Again just goes to show this was an amateur doc. It felt as if this was something I was already supposed to know a bit about. All that being said, I will give the doc props for not focusing on the killer as many docs do. This was about the victims and the failure of the police to respond for 77 minutes."
