I remember hearing about the legend of GG Allin when I was into the punk scene, as a teenager in the 80s, but I never went to one of his shows. And I'm glad I didn't. His music was trash, but he was really known for being a spectacle. Performing naked, harming himself on stage, attacking fans, defecating on stage, and other vile actions became the norm for GG Allin and the Murder Junkies. He lived a fearless, fast, and unapologetic life. He promised many times to commit suicide on stage but always seemed to be in jail during the predicted dates. Ultimately, he died in typical rock star fashion, of a drug overdose. This documentary chronicles a good portion of his life, but a Google search will uncover more facts than what was offered here. For example, his actual birth name was Jesus Christ Allin, and his older brother, as a child, had trouble saying Jesus, so it was reduced to GG. This was a quick and interesting watch for me, but most definitely won't be for everybody. 8/10
