"This is a fun light science fiction movie series, and this is the first of six movies. Tim Thomerson plays the role of Jack Deth, a cop from the future Los Angeles, or Angel City. He can travel back in time by taking over the body of an ancestor. Deth's mission is to capture Martin Whistler, a criminal who has also traveled back in time to take over Angel City at any cost, using unsuspecting citizens as "trancers," or people controlled mentally to carry out his orders, usually to kill others. Jack can identify trancers using a special bracelet. Helen Hunt plays the role of Jack's girlfriend and confidant. Telma Hopkins also stars. "
