"This horror suspense thriller which takes place in icy blizzard conditions in Maine is a four star movie...for the first hour. As for the second hour...three stars, because the plot changes dramatically, and becomes confusing. I have to give the movie some respect for having so many great actors in it: Morgan Freeman stars as Abraham Curtis, a military 🎖️ man who has an agenda regarding parasites 🪱 that threaten the local townspeople. Thomas Jane plays Henry, Jason Lee plays Beaver, Damian Lewis plays Jonesy, Timothy Olyphant plays Pete, Tom Sizemore plays Owen, and Donnie Wahlberg plays Diddits. I am not sure why the script is so uneven, but I can say the parasites and large monsters encountered in this thriller are imposing, and the body cavity exit scenes with the creatures are convincing..

"It’s sort of a likable mess. It’s like if the Losers Club took on aliens with English accents. That came out of butts. Instead of taking on Pennywise. Also if they were all giving powers by an alien with Down syndrome.
The cast is great but some are pretty wasted. Like Timothy Olyphant and Jason Lee. Lee is like if Bill Hader wasn’t utilized in IT Chapter 2."
"Four kids with the same secret gather in a snowy setting where they stumble upon another secret involving someone they saved when children. The acting was stellar with well developed characters. The only thing I didn't like was how what was probably internal dialogue was spoken out loud. It definitely makes me want to read the book and see what I missed."
