"A dark mystery based off the single chapter in Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula, as the mystery begins after a stowaway is found in one of many boxes set to be delivered to England. For those who are fans of vampires and the original book of Bran Stoker, this film is closer to the written material then the 1992 film of Dracula as the character is shown to me more monster then man!"
"This movie takes a chapter from Bram Stoker's Dracula and turns it into a feature film. There is great production value in getting the overall look of the time period of the 19th century. Set in 1897, it chronicles the voyage of a ship that unknowingly carried Dracula across the sea to England. Starring Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth from Game of Thrones), I always loved his voice and manner in which he speaks and is perfect for this role. Also starring Corey Hawkins who did a good job as well. The runtime was a little long, and most of the action happens in the dark, which I guess is to be expected with a vampire movie. The vampire design was a cross between Nosferatu and Gollum from LOTR, and towards the end he just looked like a giant bat. So that was a little disappointing in that respect but still a decent watch. 7/10"
"Creepy and wonderful effects. Top notch acting from top notch actors. I know I've seen this before in perhaps its original version or a similar movie but the plot with my adult eyes is just so "unbelievable/predictable" ...but we all know Dracula (with later wings and could fly) had to get to London on this boat so I just "rowed" with it....ha!"
"Fantastic! Good old fashioned movie, a few jump scares and who doesn’t like Dracula ;)"
