"Most of Mel Brooks' movies are full of satirical, racial, and sexual jokes. This is probably one of the only Mel Brooks films that is more of a drama with just a touch of comedy. The story has heart at its core and shines a spotlight on the nearly invisible homeless population in L.A. Lesley Ann Warren stands out in her performance. This was an enjoyable watch from 1991, that had eluded me until now. 7/10"
"Fun and entertaining movie from the start. It's good to go back in time, and watch movies before CGI took over everything, and made every movie feel the same.
This movie has character, knows what it is, and does the best with the unique plot it tells - filled with relatable characters and dynamic perspectives."
