"This remarkable film is 50 years old in 2025. I had this on my list only a few weeks before I watched it. Starring Amitabh Bachchan and his new bride, Jaya Bachchan, the newlyweds also newly play a married couple, whose interest in music has brought them together. Subir is already an established singer in India, and only needs another voice to sing life's duet with him in his heart and home. He marries Uma, after love at first sight. She only sang in worship before meeting Subir, but Uma quickly earns respect and a career of her own. Subir is having a difficult time handling her quick success. The plot , but gladly You can feel the respect, passion and love between the two actors during the whole film. They didn't even take a honeymoon until just before filming Sholay which released the following year.
