"I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more lushly romantic movie in my life. It was like experiencing a daydream that every person has about their love life. How a chance encounter could possibly change everything. I adored how, despite this being a dialogue heavy and driven film, it never felt boring. Not only did the dialogue increase the tension and compatibility between Celine and Jessie, but it also made interesting points about the world and life itself. I know it made me think differently about a few things. The theme of just living in the moment and relishing in it really got to me, and the moment they parted was so bittersweet that it felt like someone was squeezing my heart in my chest. Ugh, I could watch Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy fall in love for days on end."
"ABSOLUTE PERFECTION IN EVERY WAY.
Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply capture the fleeting feeling of awe and wonder with a new love interest in a way that is more nuanced and profound than any other romance film I've ever seen.
The writing is immaculate and from what I've read of the script so far, it seems like a lot of the lines were improvised or altered by the actors.
Richard Linklater is a genius."
