"The less you know about this movie, the better. Sebastian Stan gives a great performance reminiscent of Christian Bale in American Psycho. This fairly original idea for a movie starts a little slow, but grabs hold and pulls you in. It kept me fully engaged the whole time. I loved it. I give it a 9/10."
"And I thought my love life was bleak! This movie was everything you could ask for in a horror film. Cult classic in the making! Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar Jones carried this movie. Their chemistry was phenomenal. Word to the wise ladies: if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is!"
"Sebastian Stan es muy guapo!
That is all.
Just kidding! This is a sexy, gross movie and the main protagonist, Noa (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones of Where the Crawdads Sing) is my favorite "scream queen", for lack of a better term for her because this isn't a slasher movie. She's obviously not terribly smart at the beginning or else none of this would have happened to her. But once she settles in for the long haul, she is brilliant. I love an intelligent abductee! And her reaction when she starts to understand her predicament is perfection.
Sebastian Stan as a bad guy? Hell, yeah!!! He has excellent taste in music and I love his dancing. To be fair to Noa, I probably would have gone with him, too. He's hot! I love this role for him.
I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about this movie. I highly recommend it. It's not particularly scary and for those who don't like gore, there isn't any in the main sense of the word but there are definitely a lot of disturbing scenes of human body parts and food that, knowing what it is, makes it hard to look at. Other than that, the storyline, dialog, acting, and overall feel of the environment make this an excellent watch. Oh, yes! The soundtrack is awesome!
