Cube

"This sci-fi drama is Japanese cinema's version of the other three Cube movies. Characters are locked in square rooms in a seemingly endless organized structure. Some rooms have traps, and others are harmless. As the five characters meet each other, human nature reads its ugly head, and causes friction between the desperate and lonely people. This plot takes a sharp turn in the storyline towards the last 40 minutes. The story is slow moving, but has some genuine heartbreaking moments. For anyone who has seen either of the previous Cube movies, there are nods to how characters solved problems going from room to room. A nice touch. Japanese audio. (Warning: ⚠️ There are some flashback scenes that strongly suggest physical abuse and suicide. It may be triggering for some.)"

"I liked this take on cube. Theres so much room to work with here so they could even do a full trilogy if they wanted and just go in other directions. I think I liked this one and the original in different ways and for different reasons. "

"I think I like the older one better, didn't like any of the Characters in this Japanese remake. Not a lot of blood but some frightening scenes, visuals were good. I was just curious with this one and turns out it's not the same as the Cube trilogy."
