"I just thought this movie was a joke and the breaking of the fourth wall wasn’t as bad as other movies. "

"I honestly didn't think this series could get more predictable yet at the same time be slower to getting to that. all too predictable point. But it did.
I and I'm assuming everyone who watched this new exactly what "the most precious thing in Seabrook" was from the first moment it was said. Even the ending was exactly what I thought after the first 5 minutes of the movie. Despite the continuity errors it would create compared to the first movie. I decided to watch the whole franchise with the 4th being out. I hadn't watched the sequel or 3rd until now. But watching them back to back like this made it feel rushed and pushed together in too many different ways.
Honestly, the movie was just completely messy. There are way too many different stories colliding into one as this franchise seems almost too consistent with. Whether it's side character love stories, old characters coming into play, new characters, a new species quirks and make up, the college angle, making outside Seabrook accept monsters, and new family dynamics, everything is folded in together. But instead of making a neat origami crane, they made a crumpled mess of a ball.
I could see this series being loved, and clearly it is. But how do they stand all the cringe? The forced conflict? Cliches galore? The obvious parts the story falls into? I mean that honestly? I just can't get behind this. Sure some songs are good, but out of 3 movies only one I've listened to and it wasn't from this movie. Everything is just far too much and clearly needs to get a serious round of edits done. Yet this script is just outlandish. I'd say otherworldly but in this context that be a positive thing.
Overall, sadly for me this spells the decline of D-Coms and maybe Disney as a powerhouse too. So many companies are upping the stakes and creating incredible movies. Meanwhile, what was a powerhouse crumbles from resting on their laurels. And that continues in this franchise. I haven't lost hope. But it is crumbling."
