Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie

"What great fun! SpongeBob SquarePants and all the other characters are back for a movie focusing on everybody's favourite squirrel, Sandy Cheeks. I smiled and chuckled throughout the entire movie. It is adorable and so wholesome. Sandy and her family must save the gang when Bikini Bottom is stolen from the bottom of the sea and transported to a secret lab in Galveston, Texas. Guest voices Craig Robinson and Johnny Knoxville join in on the fun. The live action parts of the movie were bizarre, with Wanda Skes playing the role of a silly villain. I certainly would have preferred just a simple SpongeBob SquarePants story. But I had fun watching this movie anyway. "

"I'm honestly offended by how bad this movie was. The characters didn't feel like themselves. I felt as if I was watching something made for kids to watch but not pay attention to. I can't put this anywhere near the other SpongeBob movies. They really fumbled with this one."

"I appreciate how the movie focuses on Sandy. But the film is produced poorly. The structure of the character's animation wasn't as good as the background. And the songs weren't that pleasing. It didn't help the film with a forgettable antagonist. It takes more time for the protagonist to get to their destination than the whole plot of the story."

"I’m not a big fan of the new animation style or the singing added into SpongeBob and it’s a little weird, but overall it’s an okay movie. "

"It took me watching this 3 times for it to fully grab my attention and know what was going on! With any new SpongeBob film I feel like they don’t follow the same exact story of the original show and this is no exception. Without thinking about that this is an okay movie. Some of the jokes are so stupid in the best way. There’s no way whoever wrote the plot of this was sober based on the dog parachute scene alone lol Another thing I noticed was SpongeBob was kinda flirty (if that’s the word) throughout this. It made me laugh and then think why? It was a little weird but I still found it entertaining haha"
