"This sequel was just as entertaining as the first. We get a more in depth look into a group of immortal warriors trying to make a difference in the world. Returning characters from the first film, led by Charlize Theron, as well as the addition of Uma Thurman playing the first immortal makes for an interesting watch. Excellent fight choreography and good pacing throughout. It's obvious by the ending that there will be a third installment. 8/10"
"I’ve seen the first one at least 30 times. I just fell in love with the characters. Because of that, I really liked this one. They respected each one and the actors are all so fantastic. I liked the story. But I can also understand the poor reviews. What American action movies do now if they don’t have an A+ budget is they tank the opening action sequence to set low expectations. This one was so bad. Accountant 2 did this too. Then the stunts and action get steadily better. But none of it are as good as the first movie, which is a bummer. However, you do get Uma and Charlize looking incredible and battling it out. And it looks like we’ll be seeing even more. "
"It's not as good as the first one! Damm it! The first movie was top-notch, while this one is like a link for the next movie. It is star-studded but lacking character development and intrigue. Basically, there is a next movie, the Cliffhanger is lame. Enjoy!

"This was an original IP that felt fresh. It played like a superhero movie without the added layer of comic book glaze on it. The story was over, but they tacked on this little ending to tease a sequel. Well, it ended up being successful enough and they made the sequel. They revisit a character that was kicked out of the group while diving deeper into the lore, adding a new villain (Played by Uma Thurman) and adding a twist about the nature of their immortality. The problem is this all feels tacked on like they didn't really have more story to tell. The action was ok but there seemed to be a lot more jump cuts and felt uninspired. I thought this felt a little stretched out and that's because they made this as a gap movie. They purposefully made this a cliffhanger. In hopes of making this a trilogy. I did some research, and they don't have the green light for the 3rd movie. With the critical reception from the critics and fans no one is in a rush or even cares to see how this is going to end. Save your frustration and skip this sequel. Please check out my podcast Mostly Low Budget Movie Reviews with Clarence for a full breakdown. On all streaming platforms.
