"Jude Law disappears into the makeup and prosthetics as King Henry VIII. Alicia Vikander plays the role of Katherine Parr, Henry's last wife, devoted, and fiercely religious, although it is not the religion of her husband and King. Although the acting of the cast was strong and convincing, I was extremely disappointed at the amount of artistic license that was taken with Katherine's character. While I understand that the director wanted to paint Katherine as openly defiant, history doesn't paint her that way. I would highly recommend watching Lucy Worsley's amazing three episode series titled: Six Wives with Lucy Worsley. It is a docuseries, so it has actors becoming all of the characters in history, as she narrates facts from historical evidence in her trademark flamboyant way. It is excellent, and can answer any questions you may have after watching this lavish yet incorrect portrayal of Katherine. "
