"I didn't expect much from this and kept an open mind approach, and it was ok at best but it could have been better. Pretty sure the villain in this movie is stronger in the comics version. But it's the MCU so they will change some stuff, I did enjoyed what they did though and it's a fun time before watching the future movies, can't wait for more Marvel stuff."
"If Marvel counts as disney now this is the only movie im supporting where the villain isnt a villain, all other disney movies coming up I need them to have actual villains we dont need to be sympathetic for. Scar, Mother Gothel, Frodo, I need these type villains for the next gen, rant over"
"Watched this one, it wasn’t too bad and I love Florence Pugh, Julia Louis Dreyfus, and David Harbour. It kind of felt a little off-brand for Marvel but it was good, it was a little bit weird with the mind maze thing inside Bob’s mind and the “knock-off Captain America” did bother me as well, did not like nor care for his character much."
"I went into this not knowing what to expect by the previews and I was pleasantly surprised. This is not going to be for everyone due to the set up. Not as inappropriate but similar to Deadpool in the way the comedy is a little dark and they are anti-heroes. They all come from flawed backgrounds but come together for the greater good and for their lives to have some purpose other than their own selfish gain. None of them (outside of Bucky) have any sort of real superpowers so the set pieces are more grounded and similar to the new Captain America in that way. Which is kind of awkward when you have a villain that has superpowers and can easily defeat them. So for me that was a bit of a flaw and made that ending a bit anti climatic. However, the writing is crisp and the jokes land which make it an entertaining and different product than what Marvel usually puts out. I think it is very good, and you will like it if you want something off the beaten path. Please check out my podcast Mostly Low Budget Movie Reviews with Clarence for a more detailed breakdown. "This one was a great time. Now admittedly I was very skeptical going into it given Marvel's recent track record. But once this one started it hooked me right in and had me excited for the future. I loved just about everything about this movie. From the characters in their chemistry to the action and I can't believe I'm saying this but I enjoyed the writing and emotional toll that this film carried. Throughout its run time I did not ever expect to cry during a Marvel movie in my lifetime. But it happened this one gets a solid four stars for me. Pretty stoked to see what's next."
